General Terms and Conditions for Ticket Sales

§1. General Information on Ticket Sales & the Event

§1.1 NipponCon will take place from August 14th to 16th, 2026 at the Gustav-Heinemann-Bürgerhaus in Bremen. Please note the opening hours.

§1.2 All tickets are sold on behalf of the organizer: NipponCon e.V. / Theodor-Körner-Str. 4 / 21514 Büchen

§1.3 Advance ticket sales end on August 3rd, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

§1.4 Tickets can also be purchased on-site at the box office.

§1.5 All tickets are offered at a reduced price during the advance ticket sale. The only exception is the parent ticket, which is only available at the box office. The respective prices can be found in the Ticket Information table.

§1.6 Tickets are sold while supplies last. There is no legal entitlement to specific tickets if a particular ticket type is sold out.

§1.7 Reserving tickets, whether in advance or at the box office, is not possible at any time.

§2. Contract Conclusion, Payment Methods & Shipping for Advance Ticket Sales

§2.1 Orders and the conclusion of the purchase contract are based on the principle of a contractual offer. The ticket buyer makes an offer to NipponCon e.V. to purchase the tickets at the stated price in accordance with the convention rules and these Terms and Conditions.

NipponCon e.V. decides on the acceptance of the contractual offer at its sole discretion and confirms acceptance with an order confirmation via email.

§2.2 A contract between the buyer and NipponCon e.V. is concluded upon sending the order confirmation.

§2.3 The buyer may pay via SEPA bank transfer or PayPal.

§2.4 Upon delivery of the order confirmation, the purchase price (invoice amount) is due immediately.

§2.5 The full invoice amount is payable within 20 days of receipt of the order confirmation, but no later than 7 days before the start of the event.

§2.6 Tickets will be sent exclusively by email as e-tickets to the email address provided by the buyer during the ordering process, after full payment of the invoice amount. Postal delivery is not possible.

§2.7 All paid e-tickets must be exchanged for physical tickets at the box office on the day of the event.

§3. Box Office and Exchange of E-Tickets

§3.1 The box office opening hours can be found under Opening Hours.

§3.2 E-tickets can be exchanged for physical tickets starting 30 minutes before the box office opens.

§3.3 All paid e-tickets can be exchanged at any time during their validity period. These tickets will be available for the buyer at the box office for the entire duration of the event.

§4. Supporter Ticket

§4.1 The Supporter Ticket differs from the regular 3-day and day tickets in type and scope. It includes at least all the benefits of the regular tickets. In addition, it includes small extras (goodies) that do not, however, justify the higher price of the ticket. The buyer is aware that the supporter ticket primarily represents additional support for NipponCon.

§4.2 All holders of a supporter ticket can exchange their e-ticket for the admission wristband 60 minutes before the opening of the box office.

§4.3 All Supporter Ticket holders receive 30 minutes early entry to NipponCon. This applies to all 3 days of the event.

§4.4 Entry to NipponCon and the exchange of e-tickets for all Supporter Ticket holders will take place at a separate entrance before the start of NipponCon. After the start of NipponCon, supporter tickets can be picked up at the regular box office from a separate collection point (Fast Lane).

§5. Cancellation of the Purchase Agreement

§5.1 If the buyer does not pay the invoice amount in full within the period specified in Section 2.5, NipponCon e.V. is entitled to cancel the purchase agreement without notice. The cancellation can be declared verbally or by email.

§5.2 If NipponCon e.V. cancels the purchase agreement, the buyer no longer has any claim to the ordered tickets.

§5.3 The statutory right of withdrawal is excluded for NipponCon tickets in accordance with Section 312g Paragraph 2 No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB). This applies to both advance sales and tickets purchased at the box office.

§5.4 The buyer has the right to cancel the purchase agreement up to 30 calendar days before the start of the event.

§5.5 In the event of a valid cancellation, the invoice amount for tickets already paid for will be refunded. The refund will be issued via the payment method used by the buyer to pay for the order. Service fees charged by payment providers are non-refundable unless these fees are reimbursed to NipponCon e.V. by the payment provider.

§6. Transfer of Tickets or Orders to Third Parties

§6.1 Tickets and orders are transferable to third parties up to 7 days before the start of the event. Ticket Support is responsible for this. All contact details can be found in the order confirmation.

§6.2 If the buyer requests a transfer, new e-tickets will be issued. The previous e-tickets will then become invalid and can no longer be exchanged for an admission wristband at the box office.

§6.3 NipponCon is not liable for the validity of tickets purchased on third-party platforms (eBay, classifieds, ticket portals, etc.) unless they have been transferred as described in §5.1 and §5.2. Each QR code on a ticket is valid only once.

§7. Cancellation of the Event

§7.1 The buyer has no legally binding right to the NipponCon taking place.

§7.2 In the event of cancellation of the event, already paid orders will be refunded. The refund will be issued to the payment method used to purchase the tickets. The buyer voluntarily waives any further claims for damages.

§7.3 NipponCon may be cancelled for economic reasons, force majeure, or due to a lack of volunteers.

§8. Severability Clause & Final Provisions

§8.1 Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become wholly or partially invalid, unenforceable, or ineffective, the validity of the contract and the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

§8.2 The convention rules and these Terms and Conditions, in their respective current versions, shall apply. NipponCon e.V. reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, particularly in the event of changes to legal regulations, official requirements, or case law.

§8.3 In the event of significant changes to these Terms and Conditions that render attendance at the event impossible, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement
